At JPP, we have the privilege of walking alongside families as they work toward stability, growth, and long-term success. Every year, we’re reminded that change is possible when families have the support, resources, and community they need. And sometimes, a single story captures that transformation in a way that inspires us all.
Meet Jamie
Jamie first joined JPP when her youngest child enrolled in Head Start, stepping into the program with a determination to build stability for her family. She began working with her coach to map out goals that would strengthen every part of her life.

She went back to school, earned her CNA certification, and quickly landed a job in the field. Within a few months, she moved into a higher-paying role. Around the same time, her husband, Zach, also secured a new job with a raise. That momentum pushed their whole family forward. They paid off debt, built up savings, raised their credit scores, and ultimately became homeowners.
Jamie wanted to use her personal experiences to help others. So, she decided to train as a Recovery Peer Support Coach and even scored a scholarship for the program. She also wrote a budget-friendly cookbook, filled with affordable meal ideas, and gifted it to members attending a JPP budgeting class. It was one more way she turned her experience into something uplifting for others.
A Graduate Creating New Pathways for Others
Since graduating from JPP in 2022, Jamie’s accomplishments have been nothing short of inspiring. Today, she is thriving as a doula, guiding and supporting women as they bring new life into the world. Her work reflects the compassion and steady presence she has cultivated throughout her own journey.
Jamie also recently celebrated 10 years of sobriety, a milestone that speaks to her resilience and unwavering commitment to healing. She now serves as a peer recovery coach, walking alongside others on their recovery journeys and offering hope grounded in lived experience. Her impact extends far beyond her own story; she is changing lives every day.
A Legacy of Achievement and Opportunity
Jamie’s success isn’t just her own. It is generational.
Her two oldest children graduated from high school with honors and are now attending the University of Northern Colorado and the University of Colorado Boulder. Their achievements reflect the long-term impact of stability, support, and a parent who models strength and determination.
This is the ripple effect we strive for at JPP: when one family member succeeds, the opportunities grow for everyone.
The Power of Community Support
Stories like Jamie’s are a reminder that when we invest in families, we’re not just supporting a moment, we’re shaping a future. We’re creating pathways to homeownership, higher education, career advancement, and lifelong wellbeing. And most importantly, we’re empowering families to believe in what’s possible.
Your support makes this work possible. Every coaching session, every workshop, every moment of encouragement and support is fueled by people who believe in JPP families and their potential.
