When Adriana joined the JPP program over two years ago, she was living in affordable housing and determined to create a better life for herself and her two children. Her goals were clear: continue her education, increase her income, and advance her career in healthcare. She needed the right support system to help her turn those goals into accomplishments.

Through JPP’s whole-family approach, Adriana received personalized coaching and resources to support her at every step. Together, she and her coach created a realistic plan for earning her Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) degree while balancing the busy demands of parenting. She also attended financial literacy workshops, where she learned how to budget effectively, reduce debt, and begin building savings for the future. Monthly goal-setting sessions gave Adriana the structure and encouragement she needed to stay focused and move forward.
JPP’s network of community partners helped her maintain stable housing while she worked toward her educational and professional goals.

Today, Adriana holds an LPN degree, has paid off debt, built her savings, and is thriving in her nursing career. Her children are also excelling academically, growing and succeeding alongside her.
Adriana’s story embodies what JPP stands for: empowering families to achieve self-sufficiency and long-term stability through education, career advancement, and financial empowerment.
At JPP, families like Adriana’s are proof that with the right resources, encouragement, and community support, families can break the cycle of generational poverty.
