Neurofeedback Services

JPP offers neurofeedback training as an innovative approach to supporting mental health and well-being. This non-invasive method gives families tools to manage stress, anxiety, and other challenges that often arise from the complex circumstances of poverty.

What is Neurofeedback?

Neurofeedback is a non-invasive, drug-free therapy that helps the brain learn to regulate its own activity. Using advanced technology, it provides real-time feedback on brainwave patterns, allowing individuals to “train” their brains toward healthier, more balanced functioning. Think of it as exercise for your brain, helping it work more efficiently and adapt better over time.

How It Works

During a neurofeedback session, sensors are placed on the scalp to monitor brain activity. This information is translated into visual or audio cues, letting you see how your brain is functioning in the moment. With practice, your brain learns to shift into more optimal patterns on its own, which can improve emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being.

Potential Benefits of Neurofeedback

Neurofeedback has shown promise in addressing a wide range of concerns, including ADHD, anxiety and depression, PTSD, sleep problems, seizure disorders, brain injury, age-related cognitive decline, and overall stress management. By helping the brain learn to regulate itself, neurofeedback can open the door to greater resilience, balance, and long-term wellness for families. Benefits include:

  • Improved Emotional Regulation – Helps manage emotions more effectively, supporting those with mood disorders, anxiety, and compulsive behaviors.

  • Reduced Anxiety & Depression – Promotes balanced brainwave activity to ease symptoms and improve overall mental health.

  • Enhanced Focus & Attention – Often used to address ADHD, supporting better performance at school, work, and in daily life.

  • Better Sleep – Targets brainwave patterns linked to restful sleep, helping reduce insomnia and improve sleep quality.

  • Overall Brain Function – Strengthens cognitive skills like memory, attention, and decision-making.

  • Stress & PTSD Support – Calms the nervous system, promotes relaxation, and reduces symptoms of trauma-related stress.

  • Holistic Approach – Supports both physical and emotional well-being without the use of medication or surgery.

  • Long-Term Benefits – Encourages neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to change and adapt, leading to lasting improvements in brain function and behavior.
