Success Story Spotlight: Adriana

JPP recently hosted a special event for parents interested in exploring a career in Human Resources, led by program graduate Adriana. Raised by a single mother, Adriana joined the program as a teenager and, like the families we serve today, faced many of the same challenges. With encouragement from her coach, she learned to believe in her potential and began building a path toward a brighter future. Her story beautifully illustrates the power of ongoing support: meaningful change doesn't happen overnight, but through consistent dedication.

Now serving as the People Business Partner at EGYM, Adriana shared her experience as an HR professional and her own story of success. She spoke about the obstacles she faced, what inspired her to pursue a career in Human Resources, and what it took to build a career she loves. She has earned multiple raises along her journey and continues to grow professionally, creating a life she once only imagined.

The presentation provided a comprehensive overview of career pathways, the education and skills needed to enter the field, and where to start. Parents learned about growth opportunities, interviewing tips, workplace culture, and how to balance work and family responsibilities.

The most impactful part of the evening wasn’t the information; it was seeing families witness someone who once sat where they are now build a happy, successful life.

Adriana reflected on how JPP coaches encouraged her as a youth participant, helping her recognize her strengths and teaching her to believe in herself. That support gave her the confidence to pursue opportunities she might not have considered otherwise.

For everyone at JPP, Adriana’s presentation was a full-circle moment that demonstrated what is possible when people have the community and encouragement to believe in themselves.

Her commitment to JPP extends beyond sharing her career journey. EGYM has been a valued community partner, volunteering at JPP’s annual Gingerbread House Contest as special guest judges and helping create joyful holiday memories for local families. Through both her professional role and personal commitment to service, Adriana continues to strengthen the community network that once invested in her.

Thank you, Adriana, for sharing your journey, inspiring our families, and showing the next generation what is possible. Your willingness to pay it forward and support others on their journeys is why JPP’s work matters. Click here to learn more about our program!
