Instead of renting a ballroom, ordering centerpieces, or printing invitations, we’re asking our community to skip the event and put every dollar toward what really matters: helping families thrive.

Sunny’s Story: From Crisis to Confidence


Sunny’s life changed overnight when her family lost everything in a fire. Suddenly, she was navigating homelessness, caring for a child with significant health needs, and supporting a husband with a mysterious, debilitating illness. Once a full-time mom, she became the sole provider for her family without a roadmap.


But she didn’t have to do it alone. Sunny enrolled her children in Head Start and was introduced to JPP. With determination and the support of a JPP coach, she began to rebuild her family's life. She graduated from Red Rocks Community College and secured a job as a teacher.


JPP also stepped in to help Sunny navigate the complex healthcare system. Her coach connected her with specialists who diagnosed her husband with epilepsy, allowing him to receive the treatment he needed to return to work. With her son’s health improving, the family finally had room to breathe and dream.


Today, Sunny’s family is stable, thriving, and hopeful for the future. They’ve even started a college fund for their children, something Sunny once believed was out of reach.
