JPP is excited to welcome Sara as our newest Family Coach! With nearly a decade of experience at Jefferson County Head Start, Sara has walked alongside countless families during their children’s earliest school experiences. She began her career as a teacher’s assistant, earned her CDA, and grew into the role of Family Support Specialist (FSS). Throughout her journey, she became a trusted partner to families, celebrating their milestones, walking with them through challenges, and connecting them to resources that transformed their lives.

Sara uses a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach to honor each family’s unique abilities and resilience. She believes in meeting people where they are, listening without judgment, and working together to create achievable goals that truly matter. Her deep commitment to empowering families aligns perfectly with JPP’s mission to move families from poverty to prosperity.
With Sara on board, JPP will now be able to serve 100 more individuals in our community, expanding capacity to provide personalized coaching, resources, and support that help families thrive.
When she’s not working with families, Sara enjoys making pottery, traveling, exploring history, and re-watching The Lord of the Rings trilogy. We are so excited to see the positive impact she will have on the lives of the families we serve.
