JPP Selected as Act Locally Golden’s 2025 Nonprofit Partner

We are thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership with Act Locally Golden, a community-driven organization dedicated to making a meaningful impact through financial support, volunteerism, and in-kind donations. Each year, Act Locally Golden selects a local nonprofit to champion, and we are honored to share that Jeffco Prosperity Partners (JPP) has been chosen as their 2025 nonprofit partner!

This incredible partnership means that JPP families will benefit from the generosity and dedication of Act Locally Golden’s supporters, helping us further our mission of empowering families on their path to prosperity.

But this collaboration holds even deeper meaning.

Honoring the Legacy of Ali Lasell

As Act Locally Golden’s co-founders, Audrey Waugh and Janet Green, shared the news with their network, they discovered a special connection—one that made this partnership even more meaningful.

Many members of Act Locally Golden knew and loved Ali Lasell, a passionate community leader, dedicated public education advocate, and cherished friend. Ali was known for her boundless kindness, leadership, and the light she brought to those around her. In 2018, Ali was diagnosed with HER-2 positive breast cancer, and despite her strength and resilience, she passed away in November 2023. She is deeply missed by all who knew her.

What makes this partnership so special is that Ali was deeply involved with JPP. She served as 1st Vice President of the JPP Board for four years, dedicating her time to ensuring families in our community had the support and opportunities they needed to thrive. In honor of her unwavering commitment, JPP has a memorial fund established in her name, continuing her legacy of compassion and advocacy.

Looking Ahead to 2025

We are incredibly grateful to Act Locally Golden for choosing JPP as their 2025 nonprofit partner. Their support will make a lasting impact on the families we serve, and we are excited to work together throughout the year.

To Audrey, Janet, and the entire Act Locally Golden community—thank you for believing in our mission and for honoring Ali’s legacy in such a meaningful way.

Stay tuned for updates on how you can get involved with this partnership, whether through volunteer opportunities, fundraising events, or community gatherings.

Together, we are building a stronger, more connected community!
