When Brittany first heard about JPP through Head Start, she thought it would be a chance to earn her GED. What she didn’t realize was that this single step would lead to a complete transformation for her entire family.

With the encouragement and accountability of JPP, Brittany earned her GED, and Nathan achieved his high school diploma, marking the first of many milestones. Nathan discovered a passion for the production industry, working in construction materials and steadily advancing to Level 3 Operator, earning multiple promotions and raises along the way. Brittany earned her Cosmetology Hairstyling Certificate, found joy in residential cleaning, and turned that passion into her own thriving cleaning business.
Together, they tackled one of their biggest dreams: becoming homeowners. Through hard work, improved credit, and increased savings, Brittany and Nathan were able to purchase their first home through Habitat for Humanity, a goal they once thought was out of reach.
Their children are thriving too, excelling in school, growing in confidence, and advancing in martial arts, where they’ve reached the blue belt level in Tang Quan Do. The family recently welcomed a new pet cat, adding extra joy to their lives.
Reflecting on their journey, Brittany shares, “The support was huge for us. Having someone to keep us accountable and motivated made all the difference.” Her advice to other JPP families is simple: “Don’t give up. Even if it feels overwhelming, you’ll still cross the finish line if you don’t quit. Quitting is not an option.”
Today, Brittany and Nathan are focused on continuing to grow their business, expand their financial knowledge, and make intentional decisions for their family’s future. As they prepare to graduate from JPP, they feel a mix of gratitude for how far they’ve come and excitement for what’s next.
Their story is a testament to the power of dedication and proof that with the right support, dreams can become reality.
