Lynnae FloraBoard Member

Lynnae Flora is a student of public policy and the legal system. She has worked in private, non-profit, and government organizations over her career.  Most recently, she led Jefferson County Human Services as its deputy director, overseeing policy issues, media communications, economic security, and self-sufficiency efforts. Her strength is strategic leadership encompassing organizational development, budget development, senior management, community partnerships, and strategic alliances.  Prior to being deputy director, she held division director positions, including Community Assistance, Head Start, Communications, IT, Fraud, and Quality Assurance.

In 1997, Lynnae joined the County Attorney’s office to represent county commissioners on policy issues affecting county government at the local, state, and national levels.  Before then, she held leadership positions with the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and Coors Brewing Company. Lynnae has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Political Science from Colorado State University and a J.D. from the University of Denver.

Lynnae co-founded several non-profits, including Disability Benefits Services (a non-profit dedicated to ensuring disabled individuals receive the help they need to navigate available services) and the Jeffco Human Services Foundation (currently Jeffco Prosperity Partners). She is a 1993 graduate of Leadership Denver.  In her semi-retired role, Lynnae is an avid cyclist, swimmer, skier, and reader.
